In general, I have always been the most committed person to growing and creating that I have known. I would meet friends and other entrepreneur’s and I would get excited because I was like “We can do this together,” and then they wouldn’t want to go as fast as I did or they’d get bogged down by their stories.
Very often I found myself alone on my journey.
That was one of the things Kate was most afraid of last year. So, she did what humans often do, and pushed against it. She tried to hold on really tight. She tried to control it so that all her people would grow with her.
The problem was, they weren’t ready.
It happens. And I believe it’s a good thing. It’s a good thing for us to learn that we can grow on our own. We can let go of what was and open to creating something better.
I get it, when there’s something good you don’t want to let it go and it can be hard to imagine there is something better. I’ve been there.
What I learned is that when I let go of needing someone to come with me, I could create faster and then magically someone would show up at the same level I was. I learned that I could always create exactly what I needed if I was willing to let go instead of hold on.
So can you. And if you want a really big life, this is a skill you want to have.
